District Exceeds State Achievement Average in all areas

The mission of the Gibson County
School District is to provide quality education in a safe learning
environment by teaching students not only how to walk but where to walk.

NEW WEBSITE TO LAUNCH THIS WEEK |
Gibson County School District will launch its new
website later this week. The current site will be removed as
soon as functionality of the new one is determined. This
district website has averaged over 50,000 visits annually and serves
primarily an announcement page and as a conduit to other
pages.
The new site will also share information to facebook pages and other
links as a way to better serve our community. |

GCSSD SCORES
Are Among Best in Tennessee |
|
Students in the Gibson County
Special School district scored extremely well on the achievement
tests that were administered in the spring. Overall growth from one
school year to the next and the number of students scoring at the
proficient or advanced level place GCSSD students in the top 10% of
the state's schools in most categories. Out of 135 school districts GCSSD
ranks 8th in Math, 15th in Reading, 6th in Science, and 12th in
