Safe Routes to School Grant
| Our community has been awarded a Safe Routes to School grant. Coordinators of the grant facilitated bicycle safety activites this week and gave away helmets to students. These three students won a drawing to receive bicycles: Jackson Bell, Christopher Nicely and Lauren Wallace. A big thanks to the City of Medina and the Safe Routes to School coordinators! | ![]() |

Students should start reading now to be ready for the Medina Middle School Battle of the Books 2012. In May of 2012, teams of students will compete to answer questions about 30 preselected books. There will be a fourth-sixth grade contest and a sixth-eighth grade contest (sixth graders may choose which competition they want to join). General guidelines may be found here. Books may be checked out from the LMC, from local libraries. Email Ms. Barnes for details.
